I have spent over 40 years preparing sermons each week. It has been something I really enjoyed. The process each week was one where I looked forward to the planning, digging deeper into Scripture and find the ah ha moments in each text, the way that scripture speaks to us about the love an grace of God who kneels down to look us in the eyes, see deeply into our hearts, and lift us in his loving embrace. All of us are broken people, even the one who have the privilege to stand before the other broken people on any given Sunday morning and speak a word of mercy from God... a healing word for us all. I pray that you may find a word of mercy and grace which will help you to stand in the pulpit and speak that word to all the broken people you may serve, and lift them into the clearer and nearer presence of God.
