Suzanne DuKane is house-sitting for the next two months for her Great Aunt, Moira DuKane, the Matriarch of Summer House. The mansion was built by the DuKane family in the 1830s and resides on the Georgia Coast, just outside of Savannah. Moira has managed the house and vast estate competently over the years, and it is still the center of the socially elite gatherings for Savannah. Suzanne spent much of her happy childhood there with Aunt Moira, and she is looking forward to enjoying some much deserved quiet time in such an idyllic setting. Much to her chagrin, that doesn't happen, as strange and unexplained things shatter her peace as soon as she takes up residence there. The continued incidents are frightening and become even more so as they escalate to a more dangerous level. Derek Hoyt is a well-known television and newspaper journalist with several award-winning books, and now two blockbuster movies under his belt, but he has demons to slay. He takes a cottage on the Georgia Coast to sort out his life and his goals. He meets Suzanne by chance, or is it providence, and he is irrevocably drawn to her as a woman. His attraction catapults him into her plight at Summer House, and he vows to protect her and help her solve the mystery there. Suzanne turns to Derek for guidance and direction. She has no one else with Aunt Moira away. Together, they discover the sorted past of her ancestors with tales and documentation of murder and other horrors at Summer House. The path forward is littered with intrigue, danger, and passion. Will they survive the pressures in search of answers, and will those answers lie within the walls of Summer House? The future together depends on finding the truth and resolving the haunting of Summer House.
