Lyn Vanover
One bright October morning, 3rd grade teacher Lyn VanOver bolts from her classroom with a migraine headache and suffers a ruptured brain aneurysm with only a slim chance of survival. Lyn's husband of fourteen years as well as their two daughters-members of classrooms in the same school-are surrounded by the loving support from their small school community. Together and as individuals they face the shock and uncertainties of new challenges and fight their way to a changed future. Inspirational and honest. Lyn shares her journey through trauma, to the verge of death, and all the way back to the classroom. At the end of every chapter Lyn provides a list of tools and lessons she found helpful during the stage of her recovery and the part of her life described in each chapter. These lists are valuable to to both survivors and caregivers working with recovery from a brain injury and other health issues.
