These eleven poems were inspired by plants and the author's reactions to them. They speak of a relationship between the human and plant worlds that is both intimate and strange, like a meeting of aliens. The suburban garden features prominently, claiming its role as connection between the city dweller and the natural world. These poems provoke thought on what nature and its creatures mean to us, and what they tell us of the quality of life. This is the first of 12 small collections in the series Austral Anomalies.
