Being in love is when you see something really beautiful and your first thought is, "I want them to see it too" ........ I saw the beautiful James Dean, fell in love and my first thought was I want the whole world to see and know how magnificent he was in all respects. I took great pleasure in writing this picture book, in telling people my story ..... It summarizes the last 18 months of my life, my journey of being in love with the late great James Dean ...... How I first saw him, how I fell in love, how it changed my life forever, how "being in love with James Dean" brought me countless moments of joy and pleasure, how I so wanted a bond with someone who would truly understand me and not judge me for "being in love with the LATE James Dean," someone who would admire the man as deeply as I did, how I found a way of channeling my emotions into something even more wonderful. This picture book is not only a fan tribute, but an attempt to keep James Dean's legacy alive and to introduce him to the future .... through my words, my feelings and through loads of my favorite photographs of him .... for James Dean lives on, just as young and just as beautiful 60 years later.
