S.U.D.S The Dogs that brought a Community together S U D S Dog Owners

In the Fall of 2001, a group of people looking for a sense of community through the love of their dogs, found themselves nightly on a dilapidated field in Lou Lodati Park In Sunnyside, Queens. They quickly became friends and started to organize and advocate for a dog run, all while taking care of the park each night. Twelve years later, with the help of local politicians, their dream came alive. The rest is, as they say, S. U. D. S. history. They now number 500 strong, becoming an even more positive & stronger force within their community by helping both people and animals in need- holding fundraisers, adoption events, free training sessions and even helping the police with canine education for children. S. U. D. S. is a fascinating look into the lives of the people and their dogs that helped change the neighborhood they call home.
