River Road Ken Spears

River Road is a collection of four short stories each very different from the next. The first story is A Call for Nana where an antique rotary phone receives a call from the other side. The second story, Elected to Terminate, takes place in the not so distant future where suicide is not only legal, it is state assisted and, sometimes, forcibly so. The third story is Letters from the Front where a GI in the European theater of WWII writes home to the new family in his grandmother's house. It seems that the house has some secrets to share. The fourth story is called Angel and it is about a soldier on leave driving through the desert of west Texas where he finds a beautiful girl and something else.
