Mongolia features fourteen stories of adventure, mystery, satire, and suspense, including the title story about a young woman who travels to visit a friend, and ends with a wild ride on horseback across the Mongolian plains. Other stories include a description of two pregnant women and their attempt to land a small airplane in dense fog in the mountains of British Columbia, a couple who find out that their hosts for dinner are practicing nudists, a hockey player who disappears in the middle of a game, a terminal patient held up at knife point, and a mother who suspects her son is a serial killer.
