For the last two months, Asia Butler has been going through the motions of life and feeling empty since watching the two people she loved most disappear from her life. But she couldn't expect much since both the men she loved were vampires, and one had turned the other because of her.

She didn't have the greatest past anyway, so becoming the empty shell was nothing new for Asia. When her only two remaining friends announce their engagement, she finds her will to live instead of just existing. Just when she'd finally starting to be happy again, Drew and Eddie crash back into her world and she's thrown into a world she never knew existed.

Vampires, vampire hunters, and watching someone she loves die makes her realize how tightly she has to hold onto the few allies in her life. When one of those allies turns out to be a backstabbing enemy, though, Asia is put in a position where she has to sacrifice a part of herself or watch another person she loves die in front of her.
