This is a racy story of a middle-age man who suffers deep depression after the sudden and unexpected death of his wife of thirty years, and his attempt to carry out the last wishes of his dying wife...a cruise on the Cunard liner, the QE2. Unfortunately his plans come unstuck with his ill- chosen travelling companion, a prostitute, driving him into an even deeper depression, causing him to contemplate suicide. The story starts in sweaty Hong Kong, has us onboard the luxury liner, touring Thailand's Bangkok, including the red light district, and ending up in Pattaya, once described as having "the biggest brothel in the world". However, after a chance meeting with a young Thai lady, he finally finds redemption.
