Hunt is forced to send his men to Arizona when they get a report of a bank robbery that has left two bank employees and a deputy dead. Hunt takes Cal on a hunting trip to teach him how to survive on the prairie. They are approached by three men that plan to rob and murder them, unaware that Hunt is a U. S. Marshal. Clayton returns from his honeymoon, and Hunt sends him and others to help the Cavalry solve the murders of two soldiers. The Colonel in charge of the fort isn't pleased that Gray Wolf is riding with the U. S. Marshals. He believes the deaths were caused by Indians, and he questions Gray Wolf's integrity. This episode of Hunt-U. S. Marshal is filled with action and intrigue as the men search out and find criminals scattered across the west.
