The last thing JR Vitiello expects to find on his beach on a sunny afternoon, is a young woman. But sure enough, washed up on the sand and barely breathing is Mia, who his young daughter becomes convinced is a mermaid. After deciding to take her into his home, JR can sense the trouble coming off her, the kind of trouble he's in no shape to take on. But something about the beautiful mermaid has hero complex kicking into full gear. Soon JR begins to question, if it's really him who does the saving. Mia is in trouble, of the nasty variety. After washing up on a residential beach, the warm home of gorgeous single dad, JR, is the exact opposite of where she should be. Though she's quickly captivated by JR's kindness and his daughter's adorable sass, Mia is reminded by JR's own plights that her presence could only bring more trouble for the duo. But JR becomes determined to have her stick around. Can Mia keep herself hidden from the terror hunting her, or will her past come swimming up into JR's backyard as well?
