Following retirement Steve Connellan had much more time on his hands. There was plenty to do with family living nearby but following a painting holiday in France he rediscovered his love for art and in particular getting out and about with his sketch book. This personal account of his experiences sketching both in the UK and New Zealand is complimented by snippets of history and anecdotes relating to the sites he visited. He continues to enjoy both plein air sketching and oil painting but has produced this book as a reminder of the good times to be had out there recording nature.
