Missy is the first robot girl on her block in ritzy Brentwood. Her mistress is Millicent Fortescue, the proud wife of a plastic surgeon. Missy takes care of the kids and works hard around the house, but Millicent is always finding fault and especially disapproves of Missy flirting with the gardener. Soon another robot girl, Mickie, moves in down the block with the Arsch's, who have become wealthy from Mortimer Arsch's proctology practice. Missy and Mickie become fast friends and dream of being free. The Fortescue's then decide to throw a fancy party featuring Missy dressed up as a French maid. The events at the party result in a dreadful confrontation between Millicent and Missy.
