I'm Brianna. My childhood was as normal as it could be with educated parents. My mother was a CPA and my father was a mechanical engineer at a well-known dealership in Royal Oak. My sisters and I went to the best schools. We lived in a nice house and had food on the table every day. Our parents were very strict on us about getting a good education, and boys were out of the question. When I realized what boys really were and their usefulness, I guess that's when the true side of Brianna came out. Living in Southwest Detroit at the time, I was in the ninth grade when I first noticed him living directly across the street from us. Goddamn! He was fine as hell and his name was Dupree. A tall, cool glass of water who made my mouth crave a thirst. He was in high school already, but I had to get to know him no matter what. He had a younger sister named Patrice who was my age, and I made it my business for us to become real good friends. Looking back now, I realize that life has never been innocent.
