More than 160 shows take place during fashion weeks in New York, Milan, London and Paris. Hundreds - if not thousands - of people are responsible for this twice-yearly mayhem. It is easy to forget that these shows, sometimes costing many hundreds of thousands of dollars for the biggest houses, are the result of personal vision, extraordinary precision-planning, and superhuman effort by designers, producers, stylists, art directors, milliners, fixers, models, runners and press corps. Big magazine wanted to celebrate the breathtaking results of this backstage dedication, and pay tribute to some of the finest photographic work produced today - a picture of the fashion world unlike any we've seen before.
