Over one-hundred years have passed since Jason Thomas, immortally known as Captain Fox, fought in the Empress War and restored a balance of unity to the world. Since that time, however, the world has fallen back into a slow decay, rife with social strife and economic disasters that seem to get worse and worse as the years go on. In the United States of the Twenty-second century, these things seem rampant beyond belief, and are almost a hallmark of the once great nation. But one man, the Messenger, who has travelled the world for forty years, starts bringing his message of hope to those in the old nation; others question his motives, seeking to find out what his purpose could be and why he is so hard to find when not in public.
