He is an emerging artist who struggles with a persistent conflict between his native identity and the glamour of an outside art world. He is modestly successful but not fulfilled. A visit to ArtExpo 80 in New York changes him forever. Determined he leaves for Seattle to begin a new life as an artist. He discovers a passion for drawing nude models. To succeed, however, he plots a bizarre event that will shake the art world. With a cast of colourful characters, a body floating in Puget Sound, passionate relationships, many models, and set in the gallery-row district of Seattle's Pioneer Square, Death of a Model spans some 10 years and unfolds as a personal journey of awakening - at any cost.
