Sam Dillon is a man on a mission.



When he finally comes out as gay to the small eastern Oregon ranching community where he was born, everyone-including his family-disowns him. The only place he ever found solace was in the surrounding mountains, and now he seeks a quiet place to do one last thing: commit suicide.

On the verge of leaping off a cliff, he is interrupted by a thru-hiker on the Pacific Crest Trail who convinces Sam to walk with him.
