"Lectures in Psychiatry" is a 1928 work by William A. White. It is comprised of a series of lectures on the main and most common psychological disorders, including epilepsy, manic-depression, melancholia, and others. White looks at these subjects with reference to notable cases, exploring physical and scientific connections to the mental illnesses. Contents include: "Situation Psychoses", "Situation Psychoses (continued)", "General Paresis", "Mental Deficiency", "Epilepsy", "Manic-Depressive Psychoses", "Involution Melancholia", "Dementia Precox", " Dementia Precox (continued)", etc. William Alanson White (1870 - 1937) was an American neurologist and psychiatrist. Other notable works by this author include: "Mental Mechanisms" (1911), "Outlines of Psychiatry" (1915), and "Diseases of the Nervous System" (1915). Many vintage books such as this are increasingly scarce and expensive. It is with this in mind that we are republishing this volume now in an affordable, modern, high-quality edition complete with a specially-commissioned new biography of the author.
