Maritsa Reyes lives in Chelsea, Massachusetts. She has been working as an assistant teacher in the Boston public schools for more than twenty years. Seeing the need for relevant and printable beginning-reader material, Maritsa began writing and illustrating her own books for the teachers and students at her school.
