The author, Dr. Israel Shimony, is a renowned lawyer and an expert on arbitration. He founded ITRO, an institute for conflict resolution by Consent Arbitration headquartered in Tel Aviv, and authored the book "Arbitration - A New Horizon". He has also been instrumental in amending the Israeli Arbitration Law.
