Joseph Smith gives 8 different levels of translation, though not all together, for each of the figures of the facsimiles from the Book of Abraham. This explains why no one has figured out his manner of translating the papyri considered the Sensen or Book of Breathings. In his Egyptian Alphabet and Grammar he gives 5 levels for the text Hieroglyphs instead of the 8 he gives for the facsimile Hieroglyphs.
