Makya lives in the Kingdom of Emperia where magic is banned but still prevails. But unknown to him, others have a different future in mind for him, if he passes the rigorous tests of a warrior. Niran the sorcerer seeks more than once to end his life and almost succeeds. He develops a strange relationship with a Valorian Prince Gervais who visits the Tahewi village. The young warrior finds a baby dragon on his journey out of the Wilderness. He must deal with ghosts, gods, and strange creatures on his travels. Reluctantly, he goes to Beaumont Palace in Valoria to help fulfill his destiny. He takes a dangerous quests where the challenges are unpredictable in their outcome.
