The Hookney Hay Cameron MacDonald

This story takes place in a little village in the Scottish Highlands. Old Donald was a story teller and often visited the school to tell his stories of the little people he called The Hookney Hay. Using a special key, they travel through a portal in the standing stones at the top of Mount Etive, they often visit the highlands and during one of their visits one of them loses the key to the portal. A ghastly old witch called Gahenna finds the key. She wants to use it to go through the portal to the Hookney Hays land and they need to stop her and get the key back.
