Jennifer Macleod has lived all her life at sparkle Beach with Debora Abercrombie, the 85 year old owner of the Estate. Jenny is quite content with her corner of the world except Christmas time when Deborah's selfish and discourteous children come visiting for the annual Sparkle Beach Gala. They hate Jenny, insult her all the time and call her a freeloader. Jenny puts up with them each year for Deborah's sake. But this year Ben, Deborah's grandson who has not visited Sparkle Beach in years has returned home for Christmas. There are arguments, clashes and jealousies as the Abercrombies confront each other. Jenny tackles the situation with her usual calm and dignity until she is wrong fully accused of theft of a two million dollar diamond necklace. Also she has to cope with the passionate and inexplicable feelings she is developing for the enigmatic Benjamin Abercrombie. Ben on the on the other hand has to race against time to find the real culprit and the save the girl he has suddenly realized has come to mean more than anything else in the world for him.
