"Filthy Rags Before Me" is the third book of the "Escape from Utah" series. Crunching cockroaches, mental health training, prison Psych interviews with Charlie Manson are just a few of the happenings in this book. It is a continuation of the spiritual awakening of me, my children and husband, Ralph. I am the oldest of seven Baby-Boomers raised on a farm in Terra Bella. Our starvation diet was augmented by our milk cows and calves with beans and ten cent a dozen tortillas. A Mormon by birth, my first husband was Catholic. To make amends, my second husband was Mormon turned hippie/Polygamist gone rogue. Hence, my book "Escape from Utah." "Miracle Walking" is about my third husband who was killed in a car accident six days after we were married. He asked a favor of God and Jesus. . . Refusing to go on welfare with my five children, I got on a COD program, became a Psych Tech, continued my education and became a teacher in the prison where Robert D., Jr. was interred. (No I did not teach him.)
