Rachel Alison Chantrelle is a budding romance novelist, poet and erstwhile actress who has decided to write her own autobiography. Still, at age 25, she is a college student in her final two years at Florida State University. Big towns make her nervous so, along with her roommate and best friend Gloria, she found her niche in the tourist town of Panama City, Florida. The novel is written in first person and details her life for a few short months that takes a journey, after a suicide attempt since she has Bipolar, that finds her in therapy, a deepening relationship with Gloria and even her marriage to a high school English teacher that lives across the street from her. All in all, she discovers the Exotic Benevolence that is always there that changes her life forever.
