The stories are roughly based on real people I have known, ordinary people who do ordinary evil, the kind that doesn't get noticed much because some of it's legal and some of it's invisible. But not as one of the characters says, just the common sin lust and disgust of most popular novels. The names and other details are invented. The photos are of people in no way connected to the stories in the novel.)
