Occultist
Crookshank
A three year old boy, Alfie Kripke survives a fire that should have killed him and is then fostered by the policeman who found him - Kit Mallory and his wife Janine. The boy's mother is later found dead surrounded by needles and drugs and so they bring him up far away from anything that could hurt him. As his mother was also into the occult they keep him away from that too and he follows in his foster fathers footsteps, also becoming a policeman. When he investigates the disappearance of a student called Marla Turner, he is dragged into the world of occult and mystery, and meets Oliver Grangelove who awakens his occult powers and his sexual energy in a way no one else ever could. They fall in love even though neither is gay, but love it seems does not require a gender. Alfie and Oliver save the world from a terrible religious war that threatens to destroy the world and then the truth of Alfie's existence is known, where he really came from and his true name is revealed.
