This is the true story of East Elementary. A small suburban elementary in Utah. Back in 1966 East Elementary opened its doors to students for the first time. It was an extraordinary school design because it was circular and had no walls for the classrooms with an outdoor space in the center. It has served its community for 50 years, and its time is coming to a close as it is set for demolition in a few short months. This story is about the people that have spent time within the walls of East, making it a great school. The dedication of many people in this one school can be applied to all schools. Each one is full of hard working people that want to make a difference in the lives of students.
