Relationship Counsellor, Penni was close to 50 years old when she decided that it was time to add some achievements to her 'life cv' other than divorcing her childhood sweetheart, an action she semi-regretted, raising their 2 children alone and having many years of built up resentment towards her own absent Father constantly on her mind. She wanted to use the milestone birthday as an opportunity to put her past to bed and have some fun doing so with her closest friends Gemma and Alys. Being very close to her children, Harry and Grace gave Penni the drive and motivation to push her ideas forward, but Grace had her own issues to throw into the mix, bringing even more to handle than they originally thought. Penni had always felt a strong sense of responsibility and a deep need to belong, although she hid her feelings behind a veil of good humour and an ability to cope, especially whilst in the company of her children. Add to that, the attentions of a mysterious man to scare and intrigue her. Was Penni able to adapt and accept change or reject the new to plod on with the familiar?
