Sirens of the Apocalypse is the second of three futurist fiction novels with science fiction elements in the series, The Astral Arcana. Set initially in Sydney, Australia, the action progresses internationally to a variety of locations including Scotland, Russia, America and France. Reimas Caledan, a hard-bitten activist of the Little River, fought the repressive Global Unity administration by whatever means he could, but as Valhalla's contributions to weaponry and strategy take effect, he finds himself at the head of a secret organization that can challenge Global Unity's dominance in the world of the mid twenty-first century. But the Sirens, as he calls those in supreme control of the global government, are both secret and devastatingly powerful. Escalating depredations on the innocent youth of Russia lead the Little River into a sophisticated plan to reveal more about the enemy, but the predators expand their reach closer to home. Tragedy strikes Reimas when Erin, one of his closest operatives, is struck down during the campaign, but he reacts with steely determination and comes up with an ingenious plan.
