An Advanced Academic Reader has been designed to practice the academic reading comprehension strategies that were taught in An Academic Reader. Furthermore, a new skill: The Academic Argument, is introduced. There is a quick glossary at the side of every text which provides the reader with instant access to simpler equivalents of academic words. These words are reinforced several times in vocabulary exercises after the questions. There is also the opportunity to practice a reading comprehension exam that is based on an academic text.
