After the events of Renaissance Nation, Chris Stone and his family thought they'd found sanctuary. Reunited all too briefly, Stone and his friends are thrust into a deadly game of cat and mouse when more new arrivals begin threatening the safety of the settlement. Unsure who they can trust, Stone and the others are forced to act in secret, forge alliances within the town, and work to ensure their haven remains safe from new threats, both inside and out. If they can't find a solution it might be the end of everyone, because the Renaissance protocol is still active, and those changed by it are adapting to their affliction in terrifying ways.
