CODENAME CUPCAKE is a laugh-out-loud send up of crime novels and the PTA. In other words, it is an old fashioned stay-at-home-mom turned superhero spy novel. Frazzled mom, Molly Peterson is zapped by an "enhancement ray" and recruited by a superspy agency to infiltrate the PTA and save the world. Midwood Elementary School is cooling at an alarming rate and Molly must determine the cause and help prevent a potential calamity. A staunch PTA avoider, Molly is disappointed to learn that her assignment will require her to not only join the PTA but "become" the PTA in order to spend as much time as possible in the building . With a back drop of ordinary school functions including back to school night and a bake sale, CODENAME CUPCAKE offers a new twist on the superhero genre. It is fast paced and funny with the underlying message that life really is better when you have super powers.
