A LOVE STRONGER THAN DEATH is the story of how my wife and I met, married, and honeymooned in Lourdes, France where we promised Mary Most Holy that if God would bless us with a little girl child that we would name her: "Bernadette Mary" after the seer at Lourdes and the Virgin Mary. It is the story of how when we returned to the United States and my wife was with child that we learned my wife could die carrying our little girl, we could incur hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical expenses, and that our little Bernadette Mary had only a 1 in 5,000 chance of making it out of the womb alive. How we had to have a faith which transcended our reason to welcome our little girl into our family and not abort her. Then it is the story of our struggle to give our daughter 24 hour care and how she miraculously lived for a very beautiful 18 moths and the story of our love for God's precious gift to us; our child.
