The Dead Detective is the story of two people, Allyx and Mark, who team up with Sergeant Tripp, a deceased officer of the law who could never give up his beat. They team up to try and stop the murderous activities of a wealthy playboy who acts as though he is above the law, has no feeling for his victims and kills them in the most sadistic of ways. Allyx's American cousin comes into contact with the serial killer at a local, pro-celebrity cricket match, and now it seems she could become his next victim. Being dead makes life difficult for the detectives, but they team up with other ghosts who have unusual skills, and find a local constable is receptive to their unworldly communications.
