Zombies, it seemed, were due a renaissance. And interestingly, we wanted to reclaim zombie fiction from the ten-a-penny 'zombie apocalypse' narrative which seems to have infected the genre over the past few years. Although there is a coherent theme, each of the stories is unique. They are tales of the unexpected; stories which think outside the coffin. This is fiction that bites. It clamps its sharp teeth into you and carries on chewing at your flesh. Sometimes searingly visceral, sometimes comic, sometimes horrific, it is like turning your neck to look at a car crash, and then continuing to look at that wreck in every detail. So, carve out some time, sit back, and eat 'em up.
