Struggling with a financial crisis, Mr. Bedford moves to the country in hopes of diminishing his life costs and finding a peaceful lifestyle. His plan, however, is partially frustrated when he meets the brilliant and well-to-do Mr. Cavor who sends them both on a weightless journey to the moon. Once there, they are stunned by the amazing view. But when Bedford and Cavor find themselves face-to-face with the owners of the moon, they begin to wonder if they will live long enough to see their homes and their planet again.
