Follow the Klaassen family as they travel across Asia Minor in hopes of find a place to call home where they can worship and practice their beliefs in freedom. After a 5 year trek across Asia, they end up going west, across the Atlantic ocean to America. Settling first in Nebraska and then on to Oklahoma. The family participated in the Oklahoma land rush. Life is good in America, their newfound homeland. Until, WWI breaks out and they are asked to support the war effort and their young men are drafted. Finally put in prison, one of the boys gets sick and dies there. Finally when it appears they need to relocate, they look to Canada.
