Jonathan's alpha-numeric doodles is a sort of coloring book filled with letters and numbers drawn by hand, using a tablet and drawing program. The illustrations are drawn using a variety of styles, including negative space, 3D, simple doodling and "ZenTangle (TM)". Negative space may refer to drawing an object according to what is "not there,", such as the use of shadow and other contrast. Drawing in 3D refers to drawing an object in such a way as to make it seem to pop off the page. ZenTangle (TM) is a meditative form of drawing involving the use of simple patterns to create beautiful artwork. Doodling may also be used to achieve similar ends. In addition, doodling may be done for pure enjoyment and fun. This book allows the reader to color in the illustrations, as well as to fill the pages with drawings and doodles, such making it his or her own book.
