The walks are all circular with easy to follow instructions, on where to start and information for refreshments or what to lookout for in the area. The Severn Vale is a beautiful area situated both sides of the River Severn between the Severn Bridge in the south and Tewkesbury in the north. This is also an area where ambitious plans have been devised to restore good quality wildlife habitat. The Severn Vale also as an historical past and is also of agricultural significance which blends itself into an exciting part of England, then it as the River Severn meandering through the Severn Vale which is full of orchards and meadows. Gloucester is located at the centre of the Severn Vale, this is linked to the Sharpness Docks along the 16 mile Gloucester and Sharpness Canal. This was a vital waterway back in the 18th century bringing trade in and out Gloucester Docks. This then saw Gloucester Dock as the most in-land port of England.
