Publisher Marketing: I met Catherine in 1995 when she and her husband, Matt, came to our church to conduct Vacation Bible School. They stayed at our home that week and we had fun playing board games during our free time. It was during that week that Catherine found out she was expecting her first child who turned out to be a boy they named Daniel. Matt and Catherine met while they were students at Oklahoma Baptist College and got married on August 13, 1994. In 1995 they began their missionary ministry to the country of Ukraine where they faithfully served for over fifteen years. During those years the Lord blessed them with two more children, Rachel and Deborah. We felt blessed to have this wonderful family stay at our home on several occasions when they would visit our church while on furlough. Their last visit with us was in January, 2012, shortly before their scheduled return to Ukraine on March 14, 2012. However, that return was delayed when Catherine was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer on March 7, 2012. Catherine graduated to Glory on May 3, 2012. Catherine was a godly wife, mother, and missionary and she will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. She loved the Lord, her family and their ministry with the dear people of the Liberty (Svoboda) Baptist Church in Stari Petrovtse, Ukraine.
