Beyond the Crisis of the Arab Literary Criticism: Towards an Arab Post-colonial Criticism challenges the most prominent conceptions of both post-colonial theory and Arab Critical Theory. This book questions the philosophical as well as epistemological foundations of post-colonial and Arab literary criticism by debating issues related to the authenticity of both critical frameworks. In the course of this debate, the author suggests an alternative critical framework to unblock the epitemological deadlock which has faced both post-colonial and Arab critics by virtue of their borrowing of Western critical frameworks.
