The one and only constant in Lexi's life has been her uncle, detective Frank King, who had taken her in when she was ten years old after her mother died. She has adopted a few of Frank's detective techniques to help her with each supernatural case that comes her way. Lexi's dreams have been the center of her latest case, each revolving around the Hollar House and a young female spirit begging for help. Lexi sets out to investigate the old, stately home to find that the new owner, Parker Montgomery, is looking for a tenant for the first floor. Jumping at the chance to have total access to the house, Lexi moves in. She quickly finds it hard to focus on her case with her sexy landlord as her upstairs neighbor. Her hopes of having a summer fling takes a cold shower when she discovers that Parker Montgomery plays hard to get. Lexi, who never backs down from a challenge, attempts to juggle finding out what happened to this woman that has caused her spirit to be trapped in the home, while trying to seduce Parker into bed without allowing her heart to get involved.
