The Mathematician and the Teddy Bear
Sara Field
Alone in the world, Sara lives her life without any close connections. In an effort to understand why all her attempts to have a long lasting relationship fail, she enters therapy at the age of 36. We observe, over the course of several years, Sara attaching for the first time to another human being, her therapist. This attachment provides the framework necessary for Sara to function in a world in which she is no longer alone. We see how experiencing life in this new way makes sense of a world in which we are wired to connect to other people.
