Mike is an ordinary sort of guy with a loving wife and an adorable 6 year old son, living an ordinary existence as a Personal Fitness Trainer in a small village 7 miles north of Leeds. Then his whole world is turned upside down when a massive explosion destroys his family, his house, his village, and most of Leeds. As he wanders through devastated towns and villages in the Yorkshire Dales, he comes across some other survivors, some good, some bad and some very bad. This is the story of how he copes with his loss, with surviving, with new relationships and situations and how he dealt with the need to love and be loved, and ultimately staying alive, to get revenge for his wife and son.
