Nana's Story
Paul Grunland
In 2002, The Monterey Historical Society interviewed my mother, Edwina Breen, a descendant of the ill-fated Donner Party. Mom was born in 1918 and raised on the Topo Ranch, located just northeast of King City, California. This is an account of life on the family ranch. Also included are a few of her memories of The Great Depression and her life in the US during World War II.
