Crossing the Mojave Desert on a motorcycle is a daunting task. Few are prepared for the challenges that are put on a persons mind and body. Having crossed it before and suffering from the physical toll, the writer takes a different approach and realizes that knowledge is power. He begins by researching this nemesis and develops a plan which includes physical training and understanding the desert. He sets out again on a 3500-mile journey from the east coast to the west coast on a motorcycle by himself.
